6:38 PM, Finally: Highly ranked Blount gets its first chance to play tonight against Citronelle. The Leopards started the year with a two-week quarantine and then got a forfeit win from Baldwin County last week. Auburn commit Lee Hunter expected to be in the lineup for Lev Holly’s team.

6:33 PM, Huge game in north Alabama: James Clemens is getting ready to take on Austin in a pivotal 7A game.

6:25 PM, Home of the Saints: St. Paul’s ready to make the trek from the fieldhouse to E.E. Delaney Stadium for the traditional “Battle of Old Shell Road” against rival UMS-Wright in Mobile.

6 PM, New school: Ole Miss commit and former Sparkman star Micah Pettus announced earlier this week he would finish his senior year at James Clemens. True to his word, he is at the Jets’ game tonight (see below) but not dressed out.

4:15 PM, Not so fast: It had been a quiet week as far as COVID-19 news goes until Friday afternoon. Both Ider and Parker had to cancel games for the next two weeks due to coronavirus concerns.
