2020 AHSAA South Regional Cheer Competition to be held at Mobile Civic Center Arena | Mobile County Alabama News
MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The Alabama High School Athletic Association’s 2020 South Regional Cheer Competition will be held at the Mobile Civic Center arena on November 5th.
“We’re excited to bring back this Alabama High School Athletic Association regional cheering competition for a third year,” the Mobile Sports Authority announced Tuesday. “This one-day event will attract cheer groups from the southern half of Alabama to compete for a spot in the State Cheer Finals, which will be held on Saturday, December 12th at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville.”
You are encouraged to come out and cheer on your favorite middle school and college squads as they battle for a spot in the State Cheer Championship.
Officials say every squad will have the same format:
Traditional routine performance to music.
The game day is a combination of band singing, a situational side effect of the announcer, the crowd-leading section and the end of the team fight song.
